Increase Your Instagram Following

With over 200 million users, Instagram can be a great way to boost your business. But, how do you increase your Instagram following? Consider these tips:

Do a little research. Look back through your account to see which of your posts performed particularly well. Was there a theme? If so, use that in your posts going forward.

Like photos in your niche. Do other businesses in your industry have Instagram accounts? Go through and like 5 or 10 photos of their photos, leave genuine comments and follow them.

Create hashtags. You may not want to, but hashtags are a great way to build community AND create new content for your account. Create a unique hashtag and ask others to use it.

Run a contest. Is there something you can give away? Contests are a great way to get people following you. Ask them to repost a specific image and tag your business in the caption.

Ask your other followers to follow you on Instagram. If you have Facebook fans and Twitter followers, make sure they know you’re on Instagram too. You can also link your Instagram to your other networks.

Make your social buttons prominent on your website. Don’t bury your buttons in the footer.
